Assessments

Bairnsdale Psychology is a mobile assessment service. To ensure children feel as comfortable as possible, assessments are conducted at their school with the cooperation of their parents and the school.

Psychological assessments are used in the diagnosis of Intellectual Developmental Disorder (Intellectual Disability), Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

We are now taking referrals for assessments.

Assessments

Psychological assessments will be charged at an hourly rate, the length of time required to complete the assessment will vary depending on what assessments are most appropriate.

Our hourly fee is $220.

Travel costs may occur, depending on distance travelled from Bairnsdale.

Cognitive Assessments:

  • Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Edition - A&NZ Edition (WPPSI-IV)

    This assessment is appropriate for children aged 2 years and 6 months to 7 years and 7 months. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 6 hours.

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fifth Edition - A&NZ Edition (WISC-V)

    This assessment is appropriate for children aged 6 years to 16 years and 11 months. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 6 hours.

  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Fourth Edition - A&NZ Edition (WAIS-IV)

    This assessment is appropriate for individuals age 16 years and older. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 6 hours.

  • Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test - Second Edition (UNIT2)

    This assessment is appropriate for nonverbal individuals aged 5 years to 21 years and 11 months. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 6 hours.

Neurodevelopmental Assessments:

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2)

    This assessment is appropriate for individuals over 12 months old and aids in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 6 hours.

  • Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (ASRS)

    This assessment is appropriate for individuals aged 2 years to 18 years and aids in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 1-2 hours.

  • Conners - Fourth Edition (Conners-4)

    This assessment is appropriate for individuals aged 6 years to 18 years and aids in the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 2-3 hours.

Adaptive Behaviour Assessments

  • Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales - Third Edition (Vineland-3)

    This assessment is appropriate for individuals of all ages and aids in the multiple diagnoses. The assessment, with all inclusions mentioned above, takes approximately 2-3 hours.
